One Talented Kid
No question that David Archuleta has a God-given talent. (I was thinking about this as I attempted to sing with a church choir this last week. Or should I say warble. Whatever it was, it sounded a little pathetic.) His rendition of Imagine from last week was incredibly difficult, effortless and so beautiful, it brought tears to my eyes, along with many others. (Just call me Paula.) Matt thinks they should just call it good and hand him the title. I’d have to agree.

Yeah, I keep wondering if he will do something that makes him come off as obnoxious. At this stage, that’s the only way I can see him not winning, and it’s quite a stretch to imagine. I mean, seriously, we are talking about a kid who said, “The great thing about Star Search was that everyone was so nice; it was great for my self esteem!” He is unreal.
And he plays the piano, while he sings. Amazing. In the words of Danny Noriega, “TMTH.”
just say no to…american idol, kids.
I know, who knew TV could be so highly addicting. This season may turn out to be the same, if only to watch the antics of Danny Noriega and his “oh no you di-n’t” attitude… I’m waiting for him to break out in drag and sing a Cher song.
