Happiness is…
a garden full of pansies.
These hardy little flowers can withstand light freezes and snow; perfect for this area, which even now at the end of May has endured snow, hail and rain. Matt helped me plant four flats (32 pony packs) on Memorial Day in the freezing rain. That’s true love.
In my 20s I really adored roses. But lately my flowers of choice are pansies and gerbera daisies. Sunny little faces and bright colors make me quite happy.

Thanks, my friend! They’ve provided me much joy. I felt a bit frustrated with life the other day and there was nothing more therapeutic than pulling weeds in the flower beds for 2 1/2 hours. And voila! Happy pansies.
